Ashochin Mission

The Chin Evangelical Churches USA (CEC-USA) has taken on a mission to spread the gospel among the Asho Chin community. The Asho Chin people are predominantly located in Burma and are known to be scattered among other ethnic groups, making mission work challenging. Historically, Rev. Arthur E. Carson and Laura Carson were the first American Baptist missionaries to reach out to the Asho Chin in 1888, establishing their mission center in Thayetmyo. Today, CEC-USA continues this legacy, focusing on evangelism, education, and humanitarian aid to the Asho Chin community.

The organization has been actively involved in mission work since its inception, initially starting as the Mid-America Chin Christian Fellowship (MACCF) in 2009. It later partnered with the Chin Baptist Church USA before becoming an independent entity in 2021. CEC-USA aims to serve as a mission partner to the Asho Chin people, providing them with spiritual and physical support. The organization has expressed its desire to start mission work in the Ann Baptist Mission Field from 2022 onwards
